Museums Australia NSW's Museum methods is an excellent general guide.
The Heritage Collections Council's reCollections - caring for collections across Australia is available online, together with their guide to signficance assessment, recently published in a new edition as Significance 2.0, and a wealth of further material is available through the different branches of Museums Australia.
Detailed conservation advice is available through the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM), whose website also lists consultant conservators.
One of the most comprehensive lists of current references on museum studies is available in the form of the Museum Studies Catalogue of the Leicester University Bookshop in the UK.
